Lots of experts here on YouTube talk about how to re-enter the workforce after changing jobs to look after children (and by the way, it is a job. Raising children is not a “break.” It is labour that you would have to pay someone to do). However, I’ve actually done it! Over my career I’ve had a few gaps in my resume (including a break for maternity leave), and here’s what I have successfully done to re-enter the workforce. If you’re a Stay At Home Mom or Stay At Home Dad or an “Anchor Parent,” these tips will help!

There will be people willing to give you a chance, but they won’t do that unless you try. I’ll leave the resume tips at the end after I talk about my own past and how it might apply to you. But just know, it’s not impossible even though it can be hard. Good luck job hunting!
