Having an in-person interview in the biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device industry seems like a bit farfetched post-pandemic. As someone who transitioned from having in-person fellowship interviews in December 2019 to virtual on-sites and job interviews, I wanted to share some tips on how to be prepared and stand out amongst your competition.

For those who do not know me, my name is Dr. Adrienne Nguyen! I hold a doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD) from UCSD. I conducted interviews as a student ambassador at UCSD and I have interviewed for countless rounds of fellowship and full-time positions. I started in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry in Rare Liver Diseases and I am now in medical devices as a Senior Clinical Scientist in Neurology.
